Weekend Discussion: Backup Strategies

There are a myriad of backup strategies out there ranging from syncing to a drive, syncing to another computer, storing on the cloud ( xDrive, etc), imaging,  copy / paste to an external drive, to using the built-in backup in XP and Vista, and more.

What do you use and why? What have you had the most success with? What would you recommend people avoid?
