Windows Live Services Roll Out of Beta

- Warner Crocker

WindowsliveMicrosoft is starting to roll some of the Windows Live services out of beta and that is stirring up lots of buzz. Live Search, Live.com, and Live Local Search have all been released from Beta (I love the phrase released from Beta-as if they had been imprisoned somehow.) As Microsoft makes its move into the services and Web 2.0 arena with these services (and more to come) a lot of eyes will be focusing on the issue. One of the things I noticed in my feeds this morning is that tidbit from Colin Walker. Also released (freed?) is the Windows Live mail service on the mobile site which should be a good thing for mobile device users. Colin notes that one of the annoying beta problems has been fixed. You can now select mobile multiple items when viewing mail on your phone. Good thing.

You can try out the Live Search features here and the Mobile site here.
