With the SmudgeGuard, you can become the "Gloved One"

- Rob Bushway

SmudgeguardI can certainly picture Warner and Hugo wearing one of these new fangled gloves from SmudgeGuard. The glove helps prevent grease and palm smudges while writing on a Tablet PC. While also addressing the Tablet PC market, SmudgeGuard is also targeting the artist, and people who are left handed.

I won’t even ask my wife if I can get one ;-)

Introductory pricing for the SmudgeGuard starts at $4.99, plus S&H.

I love you Rob!! You are the best :) I have been looking for this kind of thing for sometimes not only for greases but also for prolonged tablet use. For example, after a long hot two and a half hours lecture, the laptop usually gets quite hot and since I have another class within one hour, the heat from keyboard will warm the screen. Regretably, the second class is as long and as hot as the previous one and I hope this cool glove could help me out. I just hope I won't look too geeky wearing this (surprisingly, I only see 4 people carry a tablet pc in columbia u and the rest just carries the apple computers and dells, how typical).

Obviously this is made for an active digitizer, do they make one for a touch screen too? How about a "multi" version where you can easily strip off the extra finger/hand part and switch between active and touch? (smile)

They should also offer the gloves in flesh tones.

But how much problem is a bit of grease on the screen? It only looks bad if the screen is very dark.

I was thinking the exact same thing Mickey! Flesh tone would seriously help in alleviating the odd looks I would get from people at the office. I think this could be very useful but I would prefer if it was a bit more discreet.

I've just reviewed the SmudgeGuard, and while like a few commenter's I wish there were some less ostentatious colours available it's still a great product: http://www.slashgear.com/slashgear-review-hands-on-with-smudgeguard-075094.php

We're also running a competition where you can win one...
