17 Nintendo Switch Features You’ll Love & Some You Won’t

Video game consoles are fast morphing into something that classic gamers would hardly recognize. What was once a pretty straight-forward combination of a living room console, controller and games for people to purchase is steadily being reinvented. Leading the charge is Nintendo with the newly revealed Nintendo Switch. All the Nintendo Switch features we know about point to a console unlike anything we’ve seen before.

The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console. At home, it behaves just like any other device connected to your television does. You’re able to play the latest games from Nintendo and a refreshed line-up from its partners.


It’s when you want to do something away from home that the Nintendo Switch features everyone is excited for come into play. Say that you’re going on a trip and want to be able to continue your game exactly where you left off. Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere initiative would require you to have a powerful gaming PC where you are going. Sony Remote Play would forces you to have a speedy internet connection and a controller to communicate with your console back home.

Nintendo Switch lets you undock it from its home base. Not only can you continue your game once you reach your destination, you can play in the cab on the way to the airport and at the airport too. You don’t need a good internet connection, and you don’t need special hardware.

Nintendo’s only just started to talk publicly about the Nintendo Switch, its games and how it sees the future. The console will launch on March 3rd.
