Antivirus Headaches

I know Rob had written a brief article on the poor experience he has had with Norton.  I also have used Norton and hated it.  I also have tried McAfee and was not pleased with that.  Currently I use Zone Alarm and can hardly wait for the years contract to be over.

My latest problem occurred earlier this week when Windows did a security update and Zone Alarm no longer  allowed access to the Internet.  Within 48 hours they had a patch out for Zone Alarm but it took much configuring to make the Internet accessible to me during that time before the patch arrived. 

One of the things we might all benefit from is finding an antivirus/spyware/firewall that is unobtrusive.  How about it?  Anybody having an exceptional experience with their spyware software?
