Apple put months of rumors to an end today when it unveiled the new iPhone 4S.

The iPhone 4S doesn’t look different from the iPhone 4, but when you use the device, you’ll notice there are many differences between the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

While there was no iPhone 5, it appears that many consumers are still interested in the iPhone 4S.

iPhone 4S Announced: Faster, New Antenna, Better Camera

The new iPhone 4S has a laundry list of internal updates, both hardware and software including;

  • 2X Faster Performance
  • 7X Prettier Graphics
  • 8MP Camera with 1080P recording and Many Extras
  • Siri Assistant – voice controlled assistant to do your biding
  • AirPlay Support for wireless mirroring

The iPhone 4S will start at $199 for the 16GB model on Sprint, Verizon and AT&T. You should be able to pick one an iPhone 4S unlocked and off contract starting at $649. Add $100 to each of those prices for the $32GB iPhone 4S and $200 for the 64GB iPhone 4S.

The iPhone 4S will be available for preorder on October 7th, and hit stores on October 14th.

Here’s a demo of Siri, which is impressive. We’ll wait to see if it delivers this well in day to day life before welcoming our new AI robot overlords.

Siris is an iPhone 4S exclusive feature, which means even if you load up iOS 5 on your iPhone 4, you won’t be able to use Siri.

    80/20 I’ll be getting it. Have to look at Prime first though.

    Nope.  I really don’t want to be seen carrying on a conversation with my phone.  No 4G, no iPhone.  Want the Nexus Prime.

    Sure, I’ll take a phone with soon-to-be outdated hardware, no redesigned features whatsoever, no 4G, or any REAL improvements on the software. True, Siri is cool in its own right, but it’s not something groundbreaking as the video tried to make it. The funniest thing is, the background music was Adele’s “rolling in the deep”.

    For me, absolutely NOT. I’m going with an Android with LTE capability. However, the wife wants a new iPhone upgrade from her iPhone 3G. She is into simplicity not fast and most up to date. Her eyes good, mine not so good so I want a larger screen.
