Yesterday, the Motorola Xoom Android 3.2 Honeycomb update started trickling out as owners of other Honeycomb tablets watched in jealously. Well, at least one of those tablets will be getting the boost to Android 3.2 in the near future as ASUS has announced today that its Honeycomb tablet, the Eee Pad Transformer will be getting the upgrade soon.

In a tweet to itself, ASUS confirmed that its currently testing Android 3.2 on the Eee Pad Transformer and that it hopes to roll out the update to owners of the popular tablet in the near future.

ASUS unfortunately didn’t run down what the update would bring to the Eee Pad Transformer in particular but as we already know, it’s definitely going to arrive with the new ‘zoom’ feature for non-tablet applications and it will likely come with an assortment of improvements and bug fixes as well.

Kudos to ASUS for being extremely transparent to its tablet owners and those of you with an Eee Pad Transformer, be on the look out for the update soon.

In the meantime, be sure to check out our hands-on with the Eee Pad Transformer.

I dont think you can do that. I tried with a 3G modem, it cant even detect it. Then I checked XDA-developers and there i found the answer – NO. UNLESS you change the root of your device and flash it using a custom ROM. You can search it in xda-developers or look into this website . However, be sure once you do this, it will void your warranty. if you do this, DO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
