AT&T Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich Update Close to Rolling Out?

AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note owners might not have to wait too much longer for the upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as the update has appeared in its official form on a Galaxy Note at this year’s CTIA conference in New Orleans.

Android Central has posted a video, which can be seen below, that shows off Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich running on AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy Note, its 5.3-inch phablet device.

This news comes shortly after a new unreleased Ice Cream Sandwich ROM leaked for the AT&T Galaxy Note, a sign that AT&T and Samsung are both working hard to get this update out to customers.

So, it would appear that both carrier and manufacturer are close to getting the software out to users. This should come as no surprise as the update for the non-carrier specific Samsung Galaxy Note was slated for Q1 but was pushed back to Q2. We assume that AT&T and Samsung never stopped working on the update and that bodes well for a release sometime in the weeks ahead.

In an effort to smooth things over with customers, Samsung has included some nice little additions with the update including apps Shape Match and Formula Match- which will be optimized for use with the device’s stylus, the S-Pen.

Additionally, the update will come with some exclusive Angry Birds Space levels.

While we don’t have a release date set in stone just yet, it appears that we might be closer than ever to an official roll out so those who own the Galaxy Note on AT&T’s network should be on the look out.
