AT&T to Announce HTC One X Release Date Soon

Published

We know that the HTC One X is heading to AT&T sometime in the weeks ahead but the carrier has remained mum on when the device will be arriving. The latest though has the company releasing the phone within the week with an announcement possibly coming as soon as tomorrow.

Until now, we’ve been hearing two different things.

The first thing we’ve heard is that the device has been delayed until May 5th, this according to a piece of evidence from Best Buy.

The second rumor we’ve heard about an HTC One X release date is April 22nd, the same day that Sprint will be releasing the LG Viper 4G LTE and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

BGR is reporting that AT&T might announce pricing and availability tomorrow with the release of the phone coming five to seven days after the announcement.

If true, that means it will be out anywhere between April 18th and April 24th.

The device will immediately be anointed as AT&T’s flagship Android phone although it’s unclear if the carrier will back it like the Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone, a device that AT&T has been marketing as its premier device.

AT&T’s One X, while a 4G LTE phone, won’t sport the Tegra 3 quad-core processor found in the international model. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have things to like.

The One X for AT&T will feature a speedy dual-core S4 Snapdragon processor, a 4.7-inch display, an 1800 mAh battery, and a camera that is arguably on par with the iPhone 4S’.

In any event, look for AT&T to announce details for the device tomorrow and if not, soon.
