Battlefield 1 DLC: 5 Things to Know Right Now

The first Battlefield 1 DLC for PS4, Xbox One and PC is confirmed and today we want to take a look at everything we know about the upcoming Battlefield 1 DLC release dates, content, and more.

As we push away from the game’s release date, EA DICE is improving Battlefield 1 in a number of different ways.

The game already features a solid single player campaign and its deep multiplayer experience will get even deeper thanks to free updates and upcoming Battlefield 1 DLC expansion packs for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

EA DICE is currently offering a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass (also known as a Season Pass) which allows gamers to buy all of the game’s upcoming DLC.

The first piece of paid Battlefield 1 DLC is confirmed for early 2017 and today we want to take a look at everything you need to know, right now, about the Premium Pass and the game’s upcoming DLC expansion packs.

The company is mum about some of the important details so we’ll outline a few of our expectations here as well.

Check back here for regular updates. We’ll continue to update this roundup with new and important information.

Battlefield 1 Premium Pass

EA DICE’s Battlefield 1 Premium Pass is now available and it confirms a number of key details for PC, Xbox One and PS4 owners.

The Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, like the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass, is priced at $50. Or, $10 less than the original price of the game.

For your $50, you’ll get all four planned Battlefield 1 DLC expansion packs and you’ll also get an excellent perk related to the DLC.

If you pickup a copy of the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass you’ll get access to all of the DLCs two weeks before everyone else.

This also mirrors what EA did with the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Battlefield 1 Premium Pass Deals

The Battlefield 1 Premium Pass is finally available in most places and it’s on sale for all three platforms ahead of the first paid DLC’s release date.

We also expect to see Battlefield 1 Premium Pass deals emerge giving you a chance to save some money on the $50 price tag.

Be on the lookout for Battlefield 1 Premium Pass deals as we push deeper into the year.

Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass DLC

EA DICE is planning four Battlefield 1 DLC expansion packs for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The first Battlefield 1 DLC add-on is called “They Shall Not Pass”.

The Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass DLC will focus on France and it will add four new multiplayer maps, new weapons, a new Elite class, and more to the game.

EA DICE has confirmed several important They Shall Not Pass details giving Premium Pass owners and others a glimpse at what’s to come.

For more on They Shall Not Pass, take a look at our full roundup. It’ll get you prepared for the release later this year.

Battlefield 1 DLC 2, DLC 3 & DLC 4

The company hasn’t named the remaining three Battlefield 1 DLC expansions though it does note that an “upcoming expansion will bring the Russian Empire into the battle.”

EA DICE also notes that the four Battlefield 1 DLC packs will bring 16 new multiplayer maps, new Operations and game modes, new elite classes, 20 new weapons, and more vehicles.

The They Shall Not Pass DLC will give you an idea about what to expect from the next three expansion packs.

EA says that “details and release dates for each expansion pack” are coming soon but we don’t expect to hear anything more about these DLC’s until after the They Shall Not Pass release date in March.

Battlefield 1 DLC Release Dates

The first paid Battlefield 1 DLC expansion pack will arrive in early 2017. For Premium Pass holders at least.

The Battlefield 1 They Shall Not Pass release date is confirmed for March though this is for Premium Pass holders.

This release window might not apply to those of you that are planning to buy the DLC add-on as a standalone piece of content.

As for the three other expansion packs, EA typically puts a couple of months between its DLC releases so we’d expect the second DLC add-on to emerge in May or June.

We’d expect all four of them to be out by early 2018.

Battlefield 1 DLC Price

Nothing is confirmed but the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass price hints at the price of the individual Battlefield 1 DLC expansion packs.

With the Premium Pass price set at $50, we expect each add-on to cost $15 on its own. Season passes always offer a bit of a deal and we’d expect the Premium Pass to offer the same $10 discount EA gave to Battlefront Season Pass holders.

We fully expect these DLCs to be sold as standalone pieces of content giving those that skip the Premium Pass a chance to buy them.

For more on the Premium Pass, you’ll want to take a look at our reasons to, and not to, buy the Premium Pass right now.
