Buy DLC Individually

While you might be tempted to spend $50 on the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass to get the game's upcoming expansion packs, we recommend holding out.

As of right now, the only way to order the Battlefield 1 DLC expansions is via the Premium Pass. Premium Pass holders get the Battlefield 1 DLC two weeks before everyone else.

At the two week mark, the DLC will go on sale as an individual expansion. We expect DICE to charge $15 for each expansion which means the Premium Pass will save you $10. Or will it?

If you're busy person, there's no guarantee you'll be playing Battlefield 1 when the second, third or fourth DLC comes out.

The first DLC, They Shall Not Pass, comes out in March while the others don't have official release dates and probably won't come out until much later this year. We also don't know what the remaining three DLCs will bring to the table.

If you don't have a ton of time to commit to the game right now, there's no reason to commit to all of the DLC right now when you have the option to buy on a case-by-case basis.

If Battlefield 1 is your go-to game and you know you'll be playing it a year from now, by all means, snag the Premium Pass. But if you don't know how much time you'll realistically be able to commit to the game in the year ahead, we'd take a wait-and-see approach to the DLC.
