Tree Trunk Dock

I saw this tree trunk iPhone dock that you can buy for $50 and realized that you could make one yourself fairly easily if you know how to some tools.

You would obviously need access to a piece from a small tree trunk, but all you would need to do is cut out a slot for your iPhone and then drill a hole so that you can feed a Lightning cable through it. At that point, just glue in the Lightning cable and you're good to go.

It's a dock that looks really good and provides a rustic feel, but you wouldn't need to spend a lot of money to get one.
