FreeOffice 2016’s TextMaker

Microsoft Word and Office 2016 have tendrils that reach far and wide. That’s part of their new-age appeal, Microsoft makes the programs available in touch-friendly apps on the iPhone and devices running Android. These apps sync back to the full version of your desktop PC. FreeOffice 2016 has the same mobile strategy. You can work on your laptop or desktop or you can edit your document for clarity on your Android phone in the middle of a supermarket.

TextMaker, the word processing tool that’s included in FreeOffice 2016 understands Doc and Docx, two of the formats that Microsoft Word 2016 use. Smart Text can expand abbreviations. For example, it’ll replace “ASAP” with “as soon as possible.”

Where is SSuite Office? They have been around for a long time and their software is absolutely excellent and most importantly, free!

I’ve been using their software for a long time now and have never needed anything else. They even have an online office suite now. Much more convenient than one would think. It’s also not cloud based, so no login or accounts to create. Runs directly in your web browser, Now that is something no one else has.

A front runner if not the best alternative out there. Check them out, you will not regret it. :-)
