If you’re getting into the whole podcast scene, but are looking for a great podcast app to play your podcasts on, then you’ve come to the right place.

There are really only a handful of iPhone podcast apps that are worth your time, but these select few have their own pros and cons, so we’ll over each one to see which podcast app is right for you.

Without further ado, here are the best iPhone podcasts apps that you should try out.

Downcast

Downcast

Downcast has been a solid option for several years now, and it still is. The app can sync podcasts across multiple iOS devices (no Android version available, though), as well as Macs with the Downcast Mac app.

There are also a handful of useful settings, like speed customization and volume boosts (although turning it up too much can result in some audio clipping).

There's also the ability to automatically download new podcast episodes and whether or not you want to download them over WiFi only or over data as well.

Downcast is a nice podcast app, but it costs $2.99 in the iTunes App Store.
