The PS Vita is a standalone mobile gaming system, but it is also a way to play PS4 games when you are not in front of the PS4. Sony truly offers something Microsoft can't touch with PS4 Remote Play.

The PS Vita plays the games on a 5-inch display with PS4 graphics without the need to buy a PS Vita specific version of the game. This requires very good connections for the PS4 and for the PS Vita, but it will work outside of the home if both connections are great.

There is a catch. If you are using LTE while mobile and are in a car odds are this will not work well. Another catch is the fact that the PS4 controller has more buttons than the PS Vita, so some buttons get mapped to a touchpad on the back of the PS Vita which can complicate some games.
