Well, we still don't know exactly what it will do, but right after touching her, the player sees a flash of imagery and then you are staring down the barrel of a Tiger II tank used in WW2.

While it may take until the next Call of Duty game for a full return to World War 2, this story hints at either a time travel factor or something taking place in your player's mind.
