Black Ops 3 Double XP Thanksgiving Weekend Details

There is a special Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Double XP weekend event taking place tomorrow through Monday. the Black Ops 3 Double XP Thanksgiving weekend won’t help you level up your player quite as fast but it does offer Double Weapons XP points — which means it is time to earn camo and attachment perks that can give you an edge in a gunbattle.

The Black Ops 3 Double XP weapons event starts at 10 AM Pacific on Thanksgiving and runs through Monday at 10 AM Pacific.

Treyarch announced the event just ahead of Thanksgiving. Last weekend the company offered a Black Ops 3 Double XP weekend that delivered a boost to stats that allowed players to rank up faster.

Use this special Black Ops 3 Double XP weekend event to earn Double Weapons XP.

This time around the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Double XP event will help you level up your weapons faster in multiplayer and in Zombies. When you rank up your weapon you will gain access to new attachments that improve the base specs.

After spending last weekend earning unlock tokens and leveling up high enough to use new Black Ops 3 weapons, you can use the Black Ops 3 Double XP weapons event to unlock the upgrades you need to aim faster, shoot better and deliver more damage.

There are a lot of questions about what this Weapons Double XP event is good for, and how you can maximize it to level up weapons faster in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. David Vonderhaar, Studio Design Director at Treyarch explains what you need to know about making the most of this weekend.

“Weapon XP is good for one thing. Leveling up weapons and unlocking attachments.” explains Vonderhaar, adding that this will not give you free headshots by counting a single headshot as two. When you do get a headshot you get a medal, and that gives Weapon XP, which doubles this weekend.

Ultimately you can use this weekend to make your weapons better which will help you win more gunfights and level up faster overall.

Treyarch offers this special event shortly after the November Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 update delivered fixes for common problems. The company continues to offer up hotfixes that come directly to the console when users open the game to start playing.

After playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for the last 10 days there are some things that Treyarch needs to fix, but this is by far the most fun I've had in a Call of Duty game. The campaign mode offers more options to customize your character and weapons, a more compelling storyline and the Cybercore capabilities offer a fun addition to the experience. While playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer on the Xbox One I found the experience to be the perfect mix of fun and frustrating. There are some moments where I think I should win a gun battle, but I'm also winning similar battles. I'm hopeful that with the fast updates we are seeing Treyarch and Activision can iron out any remaining issues. After buying the regular edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 it is a game I would gladly buy again. Yes, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is worth buying on Xbox One. Although I haven't played Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PC or PS4, the overall fun and value of the game should carry over to these versions as well.
