CherryPal Tablet Reviewed On Video
The folks at HotHardware got their hands on the CherryPal Tablet/Slate and have put up a video review. This 7 inch Tablet/Slate grabbed some attention not only because of its 7 inch screen but its price of $188. But there is this maxim of getting what you pay for. The CherryPal is running a 800MHz Arm from Samsung that powers the Android 2.1 OS and unfortunately as a resistive display. Resistive displays are basically dead in the water for those in the know when it comes to a touch experience on a Tablet/Slate.

Yeah needs some capacitive love… but I guess at that price it won’t happen now.

Please forgive my ignorance, but as a long time user of Windows Mobile/PocketPC/CE, what in your opinion (or fact) are the advantages of capacitive? I have played with iPhones and iPod Touches and other than pinch-zoom I do not seem to care for it. What am I missing?
