Clash of Clans December Update: Donate Spells and More

Published

on

Last week we went over some of the massive changes coming in the next Clash of Clans update, which is rumored for December 7th, but today we have a few more exciting details to share with Clashers. From bigger gold and elixir storage, Wizard Tower level 9, to spell donations and more.

Back in October Clash of Clans received a quick update for the Halloween theme and some small changes, and before that a few updates delivered small changes here and there, but that is just the beginning. In fact, the biggest update in the history of Clash of Clans is coming soon, and below is what gamers need to know.

As many probably know, the Town Hall 11 update was announced at ClashCon, a gaming event for one of the most popular Android and iPhone games on the planet. That was back in October and the update has yet to arrive, but it will be released soon and will have the most changes to date in the history of the game. Today we received a few more details about what’s coming, and many Clash players will be excited to hear about what’s new.

The December Clash of Clans update is rumored to be arriving on or around December 7th, and this entire week the developers, Supercell, will be releasing small bits of information before the release. Typically the company releases sneak peeks and explains the changes for 3-4 days, then pushes out the update to Android and iOS.

However, for the December 2015 Clash of Clans update so much is coming that the sneak peek period is two weeks. Last week we received tons of details, but the best has yet to come. For now we know Town Hall 11 is coming, a third hero will be revealed, bigger map sizes, a new defensive building for TH11 players and more.

Today though, Clash of Clans announced some awesome changes that everyone can enjoy. Users will now be able to request spells for donations, and Clan mates can donate the same five troops, and one dark elixir spell to Clan Castles. Essentially allowing us to have 12 spells, rather than 11. It appears the donation can only be Dark Elixir spells, and not regular spells. But that isn’t all, so checkout the video below to see what else is new.

In addition to spell donations there’s also a menu showing what’s been donated, so others can donate accordingly, making it easier to see exactly what each player in your Clan has. Then, the more exciting stuff, is Wizard Tower level 9 and bigger storage level 12 buildings that can hold 10 million, rather than 8 million. There’s also a zone around the “next” button, so users won’t accidentally deploy troops while trying to hit next to find a base to attack. Clash of Clans is getting the biggest update in the history of the game.

We also see Supercell updated the Laboratory to level 9, which is where players will likely be able to increase every troop another level. Barbarians, Archers, Giants, Goblins, spells and more. We’re hearing everything will receive a boost, but will have to wait for more announcements later this week.

Then last week we learned Shields will be overhauled. Taking down a Town Hall will no longer give players a star, or grant a shield when you’re being attacked. Instead, users must destroy at least 30% of a base and use 1/3rd of their army, or else defenders won’t receive a Shield protecting their village. This is to make Clash of Clans more competitive, get rid of those bases that leave a Town Hall out for an easy shield, and keep things exciting. Essentially getting rid of “Town Hall Sniping”.

Shields have changed, there’s a new village guard secondary shield, and even a 3-hour limit of continuous on-time, so users won’t run into “this village is online” problem. Which means more bases will be open to attack. The loot or money to be gained has also been increased across the board, and league bonuses have increased.

While many gamers are concerned Clash of Clans is getting too technical, these changes will be easy to understand in-game, and make Clash better overall. There will be plenty of upgrades across the board, more money to be made, more bases to attack, spell donations, upgraded Wizard Towers, and much much more. This week we’re expecting to finally learn what the 3rd hero is and what it does, which troops will receive upgrades, new spells and a lot more before the Clash of Clans update arrives on or around December 7th. Stay tuned for more details.
