We’ve been following N-Trig since the announcement of Motion Computing’s LE1700 WriteTouch and their partnership with Dell on the XT Tablet PC.

Word comes today that they have officially opened shop in the good ole U.S.A. I’m really looking forward to hearing much more out of N-Trig over the years as they work to bring better dual-mode and multi-touch experiences to tablet pcs and ultra-mobile pcs.

Their press release:

N-trig, a leading provider of dual mode technology combining pen and zero-pressure touch for mobile computers into a single device, announced today its expansion into North America with the opening of its U.S. sales and technical support office in Austin, Texas.

““We are expanding in North America in order to support our soon-to-be announced OEM customers along with key partnerships with our global supply chain,” stated Amihai Ben-David, CEO of N-trig. ““Now that we have transitioned to volume production with our supply chain partners, we are actively supporting the integration of N-trig’s dual mode capacitive touch technology into key OEM products.”

Rick Seger will lead N-trig’s North American sales and technical support team. Seger has an extensive background in managing and rolling out new and innovative technologies. ““Our unique pen and touch dual mode technology is accelerating the shift from notebook computers to tablet PCs, and making them more productive and mobile than ever before,” said Seger, president of N-trig Inc., U.S. ““We’re looking forward to supporting our OEM customers as they deliver this completely new generation of notebook PC.”

N-trig’s new Austin office is located at 3409 Executive Center Drive, Suite 216, Austin, Texas 78731.
