Thankfully it is relatively easy to fix most LG G6 problems on your own. You might need to spend a few minutes with your phone, but once you know the steps to take, you’ll be back up and running in no time.

How to Fix LG G6 Battery Life Problems
The LG G6 battery life should last you at least a full day, even with moderate to heavy use. If you experience bad LG G6 battery life, you should explore options to fix it. This is especially true if your LG G6 battery life doesn’t last a full day.
The first thing to do is restart your phone if you haven’t done that in days or weeks. This could solve your problem in less than a minute.
The next thing to do is look for apps that are causing problems. Go to Settings -> General Tab -> Battery & Power Saving -> Battery Usage.
On this screen, you will see how much apps are using your battery. If one is using ti too much, you can tap on Stop. From there you can see if the problem goes away.
If the battery usage is still bad the next day, you should make sure that the app is updated or look for a replacement to find one that doesn’t use up all your battery.
You can also disable apps and bloatware that you don’t use. Go to Settings -> Apps and then tap on an app you want to get rid of. You will see an option to Uninstall or Disable. If you have no idea what an app is, you should investigate before you disable it, since it could be an important part of another app.
Although this shouldn’t impact battery life much, you can try turning off Bluetooth and WiFi. Phones are battery friendly enough these days that this step is not as important as it once was.
Another step you can take is configuring battery saver mode. Go to Settings -> General Tab -> Battery & Power Saving -> Battery Saver. From here, you can configure how soon you want this mode to come on and you can turn off the always-on display if you want to.
You can also adjust your screen since the display is often the biggest battery hog.
Go to Settings -> Display and then you can adjust the brightness, turn off the always-on display, and you can make the screen timeout faster so that it turns off sooner.
You should also check for updates on your phone under Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update -> Update now. If there is an update it could help with better battery life.

LGG6 piece of garbage. I am returning, I have wasted 4 days of my life trying to troubleshoot and get it to work sending MMS on my home wifi or any wifi for that matter (which my htc M9 did flawlessly for 2 years). Under no circumstances will it play nice. I have activated 2 different handsets and did a hard factory reset trying to get it to work, thinking the first one was a lemon. Nope! They all are apparently. I am on Sprint network, never ever ever had a problem with my htc M9 that I traded in for this one. I am done. Its a shame, other than that I really liked the phone and its features. BTW Sprint AND LG has both said they have no resolution. They have never even heard of this issue…..my a$$!

oh and don’t even bring up the subject of APN settings being greyed out and you think that may be the culprit, because neither Sprint nor LG even knows where to find it in your phone let alone knows what it is. Both say they having nothing to do with the APN’s and can’t change it. grrrr…………I am so frustrated!
