Daredevil Season 2 Release Teased with Full-Length Trailer

Published

on

Daredevil season 2 is about a month away from releasing, and Netflix has released the official full-length trailer for the new season.

Daredevil was Netflix’s first Marvel-based original series, which released early last year. That was followed up by Netflix’s second Marvel-based production, Jessica Jones, and the two shows remain as the only two Marvel series from Netflix, but more are coming in the future.

The first season of Daredevil introduced us to the character and quickly jumped into all of the action, as we followed around Matt Murdock as he attempted to take down business magnate Wilson Fisk, who was destroying the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood in an effort to take it over and build it back up as his own empire of sorts.

Daredevil season 2 takes on another Marvel villain, The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal, and while this isn’t our first glimpse at the new character, this is the first time that we’re seeming more of him in this new Daredevil season 2 trailer.

The nearly 3-minute trailer gives us a peek at what to expect in this upcoming season. There’s obviously all of the action, like fight scenes and things blowing up, but we get a closer look at Frank Castle (The Punisher), as well as a very small tease of Elektra, who will also make an appearance this season.

The first season of Daredevil was very well-received by the masses, currently scoring an 8.8/10 on IMDb.

Marvel TV shows and movies have been making a big splash lately, and TV shows specifically have been becoming more and more popular, and even the big networks are picking up Marvel-based shows, like Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD on ABC.

More Marvel-based productions are set to come to Netflix in the future, including a dedicated show for The Punisher, as well as Luke Cage who is a character on Jessica Jones. We’re also looking forward to upcoming movies, like a new Captain America, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and new Thor and Avengers movies.

Netflix has already laid out most of its plan for 2016, with popular shows like Orange is the New Black and House of Cards releasing new seasons this year, as well as Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt releasing soon as well.

Netflix will also release a handful of brand-new shows this year, including Black Mirror, Flaked, The Ranch, Lost & Found Music Studios, Kong: King of the Apes (animated kids series), Marseille, Word Party (kids show), Stranger Things, The Get Down, and Love.

Daredevil season 2 will premiere on March 18, and as with all of Netflix’s original series, all of the episodes from the new season will release all at once, so mark your calendars and prepare to binge-watch over those next couple of days.
