DigiLife iOne Slate with Built-in Projector Concept

DigiLife is showing off a prototype slate that has a built-in projector. DigiLife’s iOne runs on Android, an ARM processor, has a 10.1″ capacitive touch display and a pair of microSD card slots.  It’s not ready for primetime, but at least they’re trying something different.

The slate market is getting crowded these days and a lot of devices are starting to look the same.  Their specs are very similar as well. It all reminds me of the early days of netbooks – I can’t even count how many times I had to write 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive…

DigiLife’s rep says the device will sell for about $300, which is pretty aggressive. As Brad from Liliputing points out, that’s probably a wholesale price.
