Don’t Be Tricked Into Paying for an iPhone 4S Jailbreak

Published

on

The iPhone 4s has proven to be a very popular phone, and like the iPhone 4, many users are looking forward to jailbreaking it.

This has led to a number of sites selling what they claim is an iPhone 4S jailbreak.

There are a few problems wrong with these claims, and it’s worth warning our readers that they shouldn’t pay for an iPhone 4S jailbreak, especially one that isn’t real.

If you are up to date with the iPhone 4S jailbreak news, you’ll know that there is currently no way for the average user to jailbreak or unlock the iPhone 4S. We have seen progress on the jailbreak, but as of now, you simply cannot do it. While we wait for the iPhone 4S jailbreak to be announced, you shouldn’t purchase from one of thee vendors, and you shouldn’t update to iOS 5.0.1 either.

Right now, you can Jailbreak the iPhone 4 running iOS 5, but even then, you don’t have to pay for this. We showed you how to Jailbreak the iPhone 4 on iOS 5.0.1, completely free. While you need to be careful when you jailbreak your iPhone, there’s no need to pay $20 to $30 to do so.

One of these sites JailbreakiPhone4S.com is shown below. While there is a very minute chance that the company has done something the best hackers haven’t, it is much more likely that JailbreakiPhone4S.com is trying to take your money.

iPhone 4S Jailbreak ripoff

This site claims to sell you an iPhone 4S Jailbreak.

This company claims to be able to sell you the iPhone 4S jailbreak for $19.95, going so far as to claim, “Our software is compatible with both the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 up to the latest ios 5.0.1”

On top of making false promises about unlocking and jailbreaking your iPhone 4S, the site lists features which are already available to you such as WiFi Sync with iTunes.

There are many less than reputable websites out there selling iPhone 4S jailbreaks, even though there is no way to jailbreak the new iPhone yet. We highly suggest that you avoid paying for a jailbreak from websites like this. Instead, stay tuned for the latest iPhone 4S jailbreak news, and as soon as we have the details — how to jailbreak the iPhone 4S.

These sites are definitely 100% fake. I purchased a membership to one in full knowledge that it was a phony, simply because i was curious as to how they could justify such bold claims. One of them which claimed it could ‘unlock’ any iPhone on any firmware and any baseband simply posted instructions on how to install ultrasn0w through cydia, despite it not supporting any recent basebands. Jailbreak programs were the same; it just provides links to publicly available software and lies about the firmware/devices it supports.
