Droid Bionic Bug Fix Update Rolling Out in 30-60 Days

Published

on

We had heard that Motorola would be rolling out an extensive bug fix update for the Droid Bionic during the month of November. Well, it’s now November 1st and the manufacturer has updated Droid Bionic owners on the situation. According to Moto, the update will be rolling out in 30-60 days. That means that at the very earliest, we’ll see it roll out at the end of November.

It also means that we might not see it until the end of December either. So those of you who are experiencing issues with the phone making the switch from 3G to 4G or its annoying high pitched sound when its plays media through headphones are going to have to endure for at least a month longer.

Droid Bionic

Obviously, this is probably not what some of you wanted to hear and we don’t blame you.

However, looking at how extensive the bug list for the Droid Bionic is, it’s not shocking to see Motorola give itself some wiggle room.

Let’s just hope that it doesn’t suffer any setbacks in its progress.

Mine rarely has issues. Happy overall. Might sell it to get razr. Unless razr has dismal battery life. If thats the case i’ll stick with my bionic with extended battery.

After 3 Bionics in 30 days, I wasn’t willing to wait for the first rumored time frame for the update. Now I’m enjoying my new iPhone and none of the problems I was having with the Bionic. And now the por Bionic owners have to wait another 30 to 60 days?? On top of the Razr coming out right after the Bionic did?

Verizon will be my carrier of choice for the foreseeable future, but Big Red and Moto have screwed the pooch on this one.

After waiting months for the device to come out? 4G doesn’t work. The audio doesn’t work. Motorola should be recalling the bionics and upgrading everyone who wants it to Razrs. Or any other working device. I have never been more disappointed with a new tech toy or company than I am right now. The delays in this bug fix had better not be similar to the delays in getting the device out, otherwise we’ll be waiting till next September.

mine works fine, 4g and all. I just don’t know when to leave well enough alone and keep trying new things, screwing it up and then putting it back to square one with fastboot

Well I am glad some Tech group is reporting something. Moto and VZW is not reporting anything. The New IPHONE 4s is having its share of problems and if your an Android person Iphones are kind of a step back. However, they are not making any reliable Androids at this time. The razr is a piece of scrap.

24 hours and running perfectly. If your thinking about updating early, do it. Definitely worth it!

Update fixes data drops. Improves battery life too. You can find update with instructions on how to download it in droid bionic forums. Trust me its worth it. Even if u wait for the official patch, once you get it you’ll love your bionic.

Moto needs to recall the bionic and replace owners phones with razrs. This is bs. I waited almost a year for this phone to come out because they were supposedly fixing bugs. What did they fix my bionic has more issues than my old moto droid. And the only reason it has issues because I had dropped 100 * including in the water. I am disgusted with the bionic I hate it and I wanna new phone
