Droid Ultra, Droid MAXX & Droid Mini Pose Together Ahead of Launch

It’s clear that Motorola is gearing up to introduce a number of new devices this year, chief among them, the Moto X that has already been announced for later this year. However, the company appears set to introduce a trio of Droid branded smartphones dubbed Droid Ultra, Droid MAXX and Droid Mini, all three of which have been pictured together ahead of launch.

Motorola has been extremely quiet during the new year, failing to launch a single smartphone to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and iPhone 5S. Instead, the Google-owned company appears focused on the second half of the year with a number of new devices seemingly in the pipeline.

One of those devices is the Moto X, a customizable device that will supposedly come to at least four of the five largest carriers in the United States. The Moto X isn’t the only Motorola device on the way though.

Rumors suggest that the company is planning on announcing three new Droid branded smartphones for Verizon that will replace the Droid RAZR HD, Droid RAZR MAXX HD and the Droid RAZR M. Those devices appear to be called the Droid Ultra, Droid MAXX and Droid Mini and thanks to @evleaks, we now have a look at the three next to each other.

A photo shows all three of Motorola’s 2013 Droid devices posing next to each other with the Droid Mini clearly smaller than the other two devices which appear to have the same sized display. The Droid Ultra and Droid MAXX are thought to be similar to each other though the Ultra is thought to have a frame that is a bit slimmer. The MAXX, however, will likely have a larger battery, one that could potentially last up to 48 hours.

As for the rest of the specifications, the Droid Ultra and Droid MAXX are expected to tout large displays, possibly 5-inches in size, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processors and 10MP cameras that could take quality photos, even in low-light environments. The Droid Mini will likely feature lesser specifications though those remain in the shadows.

It’s unclear as to when these devices will be announced but given that the Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX HD were announced in August, something could be coming soon.
