With the April Black Ops 3 update changing the stats of 18 weapons, a handful of attachments and several specialists, it’s also a good idea to check out how that all works in the game now that some weapons are more powerful.

You will find the new Eclipse Black Ops 3 DLC only playlist that allows you to cycle through a number of game modes on the four new multiplayer maps. These include Safeguard, Hardpoint, Uplink, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed and Domination. This is under the Bonus section of playlists and uses Core rules.

In addition to this dedicated playlist you will find the Eclipse Black Ops 3 maps in Core and Hardcore playlists as well. These will be in the rotation, but you may play for a while without seeing a map.

Let’s start with a general set of Eclipse Black Ops 3 tips and tricks that will serve you very well as you play the new maps.

Play Eclipse Offline and Freerun

If you choose to Play Local, you can set up a custom game to explore. This will allow you to spend time walking through the various routes in each of the maps without someone shooting you.

It's a great idea to walk through each of these going in and out of rooms and exploring the lanes and wallruns. After you get a good idea of the map, you can add in bots to get an idea of how movement flows on the maps. This won't completely mimic an online player, but it will help you see where people spawn and where people run.

Wallrunning is a huge part of the new Black Ops 3 maps in Eclipse. If you have 30 minutes, take a break from the regular game and choose the Freerun mode. This will challenge your wallrunning and jumping skills and teach you to use the new movement options better. This will give you an edge on the competition.
