Fallout 4 1.4 Update: 4 Things to Expect & 3 Not To

Published

on

Bethesda recently announced an upcoming Fallout 4 update for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Today we want to help prepare you for its release by taking a look at a few things we expect from the Fallout 4 update 1.4 release.

The next few months are going to be busy for Bethesda and its award-winning title, Fallout 4. The company’s planning several updates that will add new features, bug fixes, quests, characters, settlements, and official mods.

The first paid Fallout 4 DLC will arrive in March followed by two more add-ons in April and May. Bethesda also plans to release its official Fallout 4 mod tool for PC in April. Fallout 4 mods are expected to hit the Xbox One in May and the PS4 in June.

The developer is also planning a free update that will net you new features and fixes without having to pay any money.

Fallout-4-patch-1-4

Bethesda recently confirmed a brand new Fallout 4 update, 1.4, for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It’s smaller than the 1.3 update but it’s still an exciting update for a number of reasons.

Per usual, Bethesda left some of the important details out of its announcement. The Fallout 1.4 update’s release date, for instance, is unknown.

With that in mind, we want to take a look at a few things we think you can expect from Bethesda and its latest Fallout 4 update. These predictions will help you set your own expectations in the days, perhaps weeks, ahead.

Expect a Release in March

Expect a Release in March

In its announcement, Bethesda failed to outline a specific release date for the Fallout 4 1.4 update. This is par for the course. However, the Fallout 4 1.4 update's change log did leave us with one very useful clue.

The Fallout 4 1.4 patch is going to bring support for Bethesda's add-ons. Add-ons doesn't mean mods. Add-ons are the DLC that the company plans to release over the course of the next three months.

The first Fallout 4 DLC is Automatron and it's scheduled to arrive sometime next month. Like the update, its release date is unknown.

Given the Fallout 4 1.4 patch's direct ties to these add-ons and Automatron (it brings new trophies/achievements), it's easy to see how we'd reach the following conclusion: The Fallout 4 1.4 patch will almost certainly arrive for all three platforms sometime in March.

Elementary, my dear Watson.

For what it's worth, Bethesda says that it will release more details about the update and its release soon. Don't expect much warning though.

(Note: Bethesda seems to like to release updates on Tuesday so we'd keep an eye out each and every Tuesday in March.)

I want to beable to add to the towns and prefabs their is many prefabs which you can’t even remove like the beds in the ghoul place which I evicted them of course they was rude to smoothskins.

I turned it into a liquor store now with a pool in the back. Wish it was a filled up pool but oh well. I want to see more prewar things, Vault-Tec Walls or Sanctuary Hills styled walls. More Carpet Options or choices that no clip thing is very important tho it takes forever to glitch props into the actual world buildings and props etc.

could yall maybe fix the toilet too and make it look right? or add one that is normal/prewar that isn’t all crooked and busted up looking? Maybe add a fridge or kitchen pack too and some more bed options.
