Fallout 4 1.8 Update: What’s New

Published

on

A new Fallout 4 update is available and today we want to dig into the Fallout 4 1.8 update for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC . It’s an important update for PS4 Fallout 4 mods and those struggling with problems.

Its been a year since the release of Fallout 4. And while we won’t get any more Fallout 4 DLC, the company will continue to tweak the game with free updates.

The company’s Fallout 4 1.7 update delivered a number of key bug fixes and enhancements to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Bethesda’s finally replaced the Fallout 4 1.7 update with a brand new Fallout 4 1.8 patch and it’s available right now for all three platforms.

Bethesda’s new Fallout 4 1.8 update is now available for PS4, PC and Xbox One users. The next time you fire up your game you might be prompted to download it on your system.

It appears to be pretty small for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. PC users with 1.7 on board will find that the update is less than 100MB in size.

It’ll be much larger if you haven’t installed any of the recent Fallout 4 updates on your machine. If you need to cleanup space on your hard drive, now is the time to do it.

With that in mind we want to look at the Fallout 4 1.8 update for Xbox One, PS4 and PC and elaborate on some of the changes that appear in the update’s change log. We also want to take a look at what’s coming next from Bethesda.

We’ll continue to update this page with new details as they become available so check back in for regular updates about the latest Fallout 4 patch.

Fallout 4 1.8 Update Problems

Fallout 4 1.8 Update Problems

The Fallout 1.8 update delivers fixes for lingering issues but it's already causing problems for those that've downloaded it.

We're already starting to see complaints emerge on Bethesda's support forums so you'll want to be aware of what you're up against before, and after, you install the 1.8 update on your platform of choice.

Fallout 4 1.8 update problems include texturing issues, crashes, various glitches, lag, various issues with Fallout 4 mods, and a whole lot more. We expect complaints to pickup as more people find and download Bethesda's new patch.

You'll want to tell Bethesda about any problems you encounter with the new 1.8 update, including problems with the game's various DLC expansions.

To do that, head over to its support forums and/or fill out this form. This will help the company track down bugs and improve the game with future updates.

We don't know when Bethesda will roll out its next Fallout 4 update. It could be days or even weeks before we see the next patch.

If you need assistance, take a look at our list of fixes for common Fallout 4 problems.

So happy the Longs are finally killable. So tired of that big whiner and he’s insufferable b-word of a wife.

I really hate the way this website is set up. Having to click to a new page after reading 4-5 lines is just annoying. I suppose it makes the owners feel good that they’re getting 7 website visits for every 1..

Why is it that no one is reporting the fact that people are demanding their money back from Bethesda for a broken game?

Can we get our money back ? Loved the game once , but waiting fast for an update ( free , I should think so )as not a big gamer . I really pick my games with care , Fallout 4 was the first RPGs I had read about . Good reviews , except I hadn’t read about how long it takes to fix their software if ever . . I will now stop playing until there is an update to fix assigning settlers . I didn’t Mind the robot companion jiggling in door ways , just excepted it , I didn’t mind settlers walking through walls or a cow walking in the sky . As it didn’t interfere with game play , as it does interfere , then enough is enough . . .

The “fix” came as part of one of the DLC’s where you can use a terminal to assign settlers. Also you can’t get a refund because of an issue that small in a game this large. If you don’t like something then live with it or get a refund within a few days of purchase. You admitted you loved the game once and so that is what you paid for.

A “fix” to a broken product that requires you to buy another product from the vendor (DLC) is not in any way a fix. The settlers bug – which has existed since early July – can stop progress in the main quest in multiple ways (read the forums for details), so for many people the bug is game-breaking and not a “small issue” (and making a “large” product isn’t a license to sell a broken product). And re “You admitted you loved the game once and so that is what you paid for.”: so if you bought a phone and loved using it for a few months and then it permanently stopped working, you would be happy and believe that’s “what you paid for”?

Complainers just need to get a grip. “Boohoo! I want my money back because my settlers don’t wanna go where I put them! Waaaaa!” …ya bunch of affluenza crybabies. Suck it up, cupcakes!, play Fallout 4, and try to actually have some fun… or you can always go …outside. Remember that place?

Game is broke. I can’t buy or sell from any vendors and I can’t save. Was on level 103. Done all the usual things like reinstall etc…Didn’t work. Started game from scratch. Still can only save twice. Says I have no space. I have 1.4TB free. No space in cloud. So how to delete old saves off cloud? You can’t. Bull crap.

WoW look kiddies a crombie found its way in. people most obiously have the right to gripe when a company sells shoddy work. And making disparaging remarks about a compliant is retarded. Heard of lemon law for cars? Be nice if it applied to software that is sub par as well.
