Other Fallout 4 Details

Kotaku's documents from 2013 revealed also revealed some other potential Fallout 4 details including part of a supposed script and character names.

The casting documents describe some of the other characters in the next Fallout's wasteland, like a radio DJ named Travis Miles and an engineer named Sturges who is described as "a cross between Buddy Holly and Vin Diesel." Casting calls for both the male and female versions of the player character note that the player begins the game in a cryogenic sleep chamber.

It's still not clear where this game, if real, will be heading though Xbox One and PlayStation 4 seem like locks for a new Fallout game. Bethesda also seems committed to the PC platform.

In 2014, Bethesda game director Todd Howard granted an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun. In that interview, Howard said the following:

PC is resurgent.Skyrim did better than we’ve ever done on PC by a large, large number. And that’s where the mods are. That feeds the game for a long time. And it’s exciting that the new consoles are very PC-like. That opens up avenues for us going forward to do things that we’ve wanted to do in the past. There are kind of random ideas we’re working on right now, and it’s like, ‘Wow, I think there’s potential here to do some really cool stuff.'

He also said that we wouldn't be hearing about Fallout 4 for awhile. That interview took place more than a year ago.

“Fallout: New Vegas though that game wasn’t considered a true successor to Fallout 3”
Is this in the same way GTA:SA wasn’t considered a true successor to GTA3? Or perhaps how Code Veronica wasn’t considered a true successor to Resident Evil 3?

I would love to know what criteria you use to decide what is and isn’t a ‘true successor’.
Same gameplay. Same universe. Same canon. Same mechanics. Heck FNV is basically FO3 recoloured.
It would seem the author has confused his personal preferences with reality.

Well I hate to tell you this but obsidian is who originally created fallout but then Bethesda bought it after obsidian went belly up then Bethesda made fallout 3 and Bethesda and ppl who worked with obsidian on the original fallout’s helped them create fallout new Vegas it’s not actually made by obsidian

    Awful, truly awful.

5 things you need to know about stuff.
    1 – it is possible
    2 – Things are involved
3 – People may or may not know about things
4 – Future things may come but nobody can guarantee them
    5 – Other details

What the hell is this supposed to be? Are you paid to write this?

    Much love but not really.

Boston, Massachusetts, is absolutely not a “close proximity” to Washington D.C., simple geography.
    Slide 4/5 by the way.

Yes actually, Boston is in close proximity to DC. As opposed to say, Orlando, fl or Houston, tax or Vegas. In that respect Boston and DC are practically neighbors.
