Fallout 4 Release Time: 5 Things You Need to Know

With the Fallout 4 release date just a few short weeks away, we’re starting to see buyers focus in on the Fallout 4 release time.

In June, Bethesda confirmed Fallout 4 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Instead of attaching a 2016 release date to the highly anticipated game, the company instead confirmed a Fallout 4 release date for November 10th. This date is for the regular version of the game and it will also serve as the Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition release date.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen Bethesda and its partners deliver tons of vital Fallout 4 release information to PC, PS4 and Xbox One users. These details have come in the form of deals, gameplay information, surprise Fallout 4 Pip Boy stock, and information about the release date itself.

There’s a ton of info out there and that could explain why buyers still have tons of questions about the Fallout 4 release.

We continue to see, and hear, questions about the Fallout 4 release time on the Fallout 4 release date. We don’t blame people for wanting to know specifics. Many people have been waiting six year’s for this game’s release.

With that in mind, we want to breakdown the Fallout 4 release time and tell you about five things you need to know. Keep these in mind as we press on towards the Fallout 4 release date for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Fallout 4 Release Time in U.S.

Last week, Bethesda told us that the Fallout 4 release time in North America is 12:01AM ET. That means that those of you on the east coast of the U.S. will need to stay up late if you plan to play right when the game comes out.

If you live on the west coast of the United States, you’ll be able to play the game starting at 9PM on November 9th.

Microsoft (and Amazon) recently started taking digital pre-orders and they are going to be the fastest way to start playing the game, assuming Microsoft and Sony offer a pre-load.

Fallout 4 Release Time Outside U.S.

As for those of you outside of North America, Bethesda says that “the game will become available on November 10, 2015, at 12:01 am (local time)” in most territories. Some places are going to have to wait a little longer.

If you live in Asia, you’ll be able to start playing Fallout 4 at 12AM on Tuesday, November 11th. If you live in Japan, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer than that.

Fallout 4 will become available in Japan starting at 12AM on Thursday, December 17th. That release date is for the regular version of the game and for the Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition.

Midnight Fallout 4 Release Date

If you don’t want to order digitally, and you want to play the game around the Fallout 4 release time, you’ll need to attend a midnight Fallout 4 release to pick up a physical copy of the game.

Best Buy has already confirmed plans to host Fallout 4 release parties at select locations around the United States. If you ordered the game from Best Buy and you want to play right away, you should get in contact with your local store ahead of the release date.

GameStop hasn’t announced any plans yet but it typically reveals midnight launch parties closer to the actual release date.

We could see other retailers follow suit and you’ll need to keep an eye out for announcements in the weeks ahead.

Fallout 4 Pre-Load

We’re expecting Bethesda’s partners to offer a Fallout 4 pre-load ahead of the game’s release time. Unfortunately, we still don’t have those details from Microsoft or Sony and if Bethesda has them it isn’t saying.

With several weeks to go before the Fallout 4 release date, details about pre-loading could come at any time.

We’d be very surprised if Sony and Microsoft skipped a Fallout 4 pre-load for digital pre-orders so you’ll want to keep an eye out for the info. It could come at any time.

Fallout 4 File Size

If you are planning to play right at the Fallout 4 release time on November 10th, you’ll want to be sure that you have enough storage available to install the game.

Last week, Bethesda confirmed the Fallout 4 file size for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The developer says that “Fallout 4 requires 28-35 GB depending on territory and languages supported.” Microsoft lists the game at 28.12GB in the U.S.

Plan accordingly.
