Does anyone know if there in a way to change what the pen buttons do? I tend to read e-books during my more boring classes. It would be great if I could use the the pen buttons to scroll up and down since I don't use them anyway. Pressing the hardware buttons every 30-60 seconds looks rather suspicious. I'm on a Fujitsu T4220 using Vista.
    Thanks for the help!

I think miniscroller (which you should find by search here) would provide on-screen buttons you could tap with your pen.

I use the built in pen flicks tool.

Sorry, just realised that I'm on vista!

On both Vista and XP you can use the Grab And Drag
    extension for reading in Firefox.

cestfiu has been posting up comments about the Miniscroller, attempts to reprogram hardware buttons, etc. in a related thread that is going on now.

Two great threads that should grow together!

Although you'd be better off to actually pay
    attention in your classes รข??

I've found that a small BT mouse makes a good
way to scroll through documents while reading. Have it positioned somewhere convenient
    and just turn the wheel.

What I would love to see is a pen with a touch-sensitive
strip that would work like a scroll wheel when you slide your finger along it. When
the pen is near the screen, the strip would be inactive. When you pull the pen away
from the screen, the strip activates and you can scroll back and forth through whatever
you happen to be viewing. The strip part would connect through BT. Of course that
would mean a battery in the pen (preferably a rechargeable one that charges while
the pen is in the silo), and having BT on would increase battery drain, but it would
be great for proofreading, or while browsing documents while, say, on an exercise
    bike.

Anyway, just a dream for now.

The new inkseine application has a really neat feature ... useing a swirling action of the pen to scroll ... there was discussion there on Alpininker to show how to keep toolring on top of screen ... I like to use the toolring for scrolling and it also enables the capture function in inkseine to get info over to your page ...
