Premium Design vs. Non-Premium Design

The Samsung Galaxy S5 does not feature premium build materials. This is a plastic phone. However, it's a plastic phone with some advantages.

While it's not built out of glass and metal, the Galaxy S5's plastic design comes with some bells and whistles that aren't expected on the Galaxy Note 5. Namely. an IP67 certified dust and water resistant design and a removable battery.

The Galaxy Note 5 design might not feature a microSD card slot for expanded storage either. The Galaxy S5 does have a microSD card slot.

Galaxy Note 5 rumors point to a design that's essentially a blown-up version of the Samsung Galaxy S6, complete with metal and glass.

Recently leaked Galaxy Note 5 renders from an accessory maker point to a design that's around 7.9mm thin. That's thinner than the Galaxy S5 (8.1mm) but much thicker than the iPhone 6. Other photos point to a thin device as well
