If you are looking to ditch your old phone for something new like the Galaxy S6 Edge or Galaxy Note 5, you're probably wondering when you'll be able to physically compare the two flagship phones. You can go hands-on with the Galaxy S6 Edge right now but you can't do the same with the Galaxy Note 5. 

Samsung hasn't confirmed an event yet but it's looking like we'll see the Galaxy Note 5 much sooner than we expected. This is fantastic news for those of you getting antsy.

Samsung usually announces its Galaxy Note around the start of IFA in Berlin, Germany but this year, it will reportedly announce the Galaxy Note a few weeks before the start of the major trade show. Instead of a launch in September at IFA, the Galaxy Note 5 will apparently arrive in early August. 

Samsung is rumored to have a Galaxy Note 5 announcement for August 12th. We don't have any of the specifics (venue, time, live stream) but several credible sources have pointed to an early August launch and that's the date to circle on the calendar. 

Again, right now is the perfect time to start waiting for the Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy Note series is launched once per year so you're looking for a new device at the perfect time.
