Note 5 vs Galaxy S6 Edge Plus: Specs

As we said above, both of these phones are nearly the same. In terms of raw specs, there's nothing to separate the two from on another. Here's the hard numbers.

Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus Specs

  • 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad-HD S-AMOLED Display
  • Samsung Exynos 8-core processor with 4GB of RAM
  • 32 or 64GB storage options (no Micro-SD support)
  • 16 Megapixel f/1.9 Camera with Optical Image Stabilization
  • 5 Megapixel front-facing camera
  • Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung TouchWiz
  • Premium Galaxy S6-like all glass and aluminum design
  • Improved Fingerprint sensor
  • 3,000 mAh battery
  • Fast Wireless Charging

They are exactly the same under the hood. However, the S6 Edge Plus is better than the original Galaxy S6 Edge, and the Note 5 is better than the Note 4, even if we lost a miro-SD slot and a replaceable battery.

  • Galaxy Note 5 : 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6mm and 171g
  • Galaxy S6 Edge+ : 154.4 x 75.8 x 6.9mm and 153g

Here's the dimensions. As we said before, the Galaxy S6 Edge while a hair taller, isn't as wide, thick, or heavy. The reason for this is likely the S-Pen. It adds some weight, causes the device to be slightly thicker, and Samsung needs a little more room to fit all the internals inside while still allowing the S-Pen stylus to slide in and out.

Will this matter to buyers, probably not, but it's worth mentioning.
