While earlier we mentioned no release date was in sight, a few reports have suggested the Galaxy Note 5 will be available around the globe on August 21st. That would be only a week after the 13th launch date we keep hearing about, which would be the fastest Note release in history.

While none of this has been confirmed, even the 13th launch date, it's all coming from pretty strong sources. It looks like the Nexus 6 will have some competition a good two months earlier than anyone expected.
