Galaxy Note Arriving Late November in UK

Published

on

According to Internet gadget seller Clove, the Galaxy Note, which first debuted earlier this month at the IFA conference in Germany, is expected to land in the UK in late November for £500 + VAT. Clove says that it will announce exact pricing and release date closer to the launch.

The Galaxy Note is an expensive device that will merge phone and tablet functionality into a compact 5.3-inch form factor and will most likely appease those who have used the 5-inch Dell Streak in the past. While the 5-inch display will make the device portable, the Galaxy Note will have a very high resolution of 1280 X 800–which matches the display resolution on the company’s 10-inch Galaxy Tab 10.1–Super AMOLED Plus display. Despite the high resolution, the Galaxy Note will feature Android Gingerbread rather than the tablet-oriented Honeycomb OS, probably to keep phone voice calling functionality intact, alongside a dual-core 1.4 GHz CPU, rear 8-megapixel camera, and front-facing camera.

Like other Samsung Galaxy products, this device will have an ultra-slim form factor. At this point, it’s still unclear if this device will land in the U.S. in the future.

Like other Samsung Galaxy products, don’t hold your breath waiting for a timely US release at a sensible price.

I just got a $829.99 for only $103.37 and my mom got a $1499.99 HDTV for only $251.92, they are both coming with USPS tomorrow. I would be an idiot to ever pay full retail prices at places like Walmart or Bestbuy. I sold a 37″ HDTV to my boss for $600 that I only paid $78.24 for. I use GrаbPenny.сom

This is phenomenally expensive – VAT here is 20%, so that makes it £600. I’ll be interested to see what sales are like when this launches. It’s a tempting device, but not for that kind of money. Yikes.
