While we're talking about the Galaxy S8, here's one more feature you'll love that will never come to the old Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. It's called Bixby, and is a new AI assistant similar to Siri or Amazon Alexa. Only Samsung claims it has the potential to be much better. 

Bixby is Samsung's take on virtual assistants. It looks to compete directly with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. 

Think of it like an assistant for reminders, setting alarms, getting directions and everything else you can do with your voice on an Android smartphone. Additionally, it can launch the camera and scan items, images, landmarks or even text. Get information, find directions or translate languages. It's magical. That's just a few of many many things we're expecting from Bixby. It is only available on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. It also has an interface on the phone with reminders, alerts, calendar info, content it thinks you'll like, similar to Google Now.

Samsung even added 3rd party support so app developers can tap into Bixby to make it even better. Between developers thinking up smart things to do with Bixby, to the AI learning from us over time is very promising. We'll need to use it before we comment further.
