Galaxy S8 vs LG G6: Display

Galaxy S8 vs LG G6: Display

We went over this for a moment in our last slide, but it needs some additional coverage. The LG G6 increased from 5.3-inches to a huge 5.7-inch Quad-HD display. It has tiny bezels and rounded corners to make everything look polished and beautiful. The new 18:9 aspect ratio makes it thinner but long, and extremely easy to hold and use with one hand. Buyers are going to love this.

With a resolution of 2,880 x 1,440-pixels, rather than 2,560 x 1,440 the G6 should look wonderful. It will feel slightly bigger than the regular Galaxy S8 too, because the sides aren't curved. However, the Galaxy S8 will be 5.8-inches and a bigger 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+ is coming too.

Samsung recently announced their newest display technology. It's still AMOLED, but it uses a new system that offers a better experience, improved performance, less battery usage and more vibrant colors. The huge 5.8 and 6.2-inch Infinity Displays will use a similar 18:9 aspect ratio as the LG G6, be curved on the sides (both will be curved) and likely have even better colors than the Galaxy S7. We're really looking forward to Samsung's device this year. And most likely all those who returned the Galaxy Note 7 are too.
