Google to Acquire DocVerse?
According to TechCrunch, Google is close to acquiring DocVerse, a company that helps people group-edit Microsoft Office documents. This isn’t a done deal, but I’m crossing my fingers since my friend Shan Sinha runs the company and I’d love to have DocVerse integrated into Google Docs. As much as I like Google Docs for collaborating on relatively simple documents, the web application has too many limitations compared to working directly within Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Here’s a demo of how DocVerse works with Microsoft Office.

Another interesting move from Google. I’d be wary of showing Google your business card at this point, because if they like it, they’re probably gonna buy it.
