Putting on a screen protector can be a hassle. If you want the perfect Galaxy S6 screen protector install, you’ll want to watch our video below.

The popular external battery and case manufacturer TYLT is one of many different groups offering a screen protector for the Galaxy S6. This is what we’ll be using today which is a tempered strengthened glass screen guard, along with some easy align tabs to help users get the install right on the first (or second) try.

Galaxy S6-screen

If you’re like me you want your screen protector to be perfect. I have what some may call OCD when it comes to my electronics and smartphones, and that’s especially true with my screen protectors. If it doesn’t line up perfectly or has a single bubble, I’m starting over.

There are hundreds of screen protectors available for the Galaxy S6, but selecting a good brand like TYLT, Bodyguardz, InvisibleShield or others are your best bet. I’m using a TYLT one here, which is a relatively good option for a low price.

Instead of the traditional water-solution where they want you to spray your device, then give you a little tool to scrape all the air bubbles out, TYLT simply has a tool to get it perfect, so you won’t need to wet your screen protector and try to slide it into place. That never works anyways, so this is a welcomed edition to any buyers purchase.

Instructions & Video

This product is called the TYLT Alin Glass, and they have it for an array of devices, and users can buy one for $29.99 for the Galaxy S6. This comes with one tempered glass screen protector, a microfiber cloth for cleaning your screen, a card with tape for clearing bubbles or removing lint, and an alignment tool. We’d recommend using the cleaning cloth to rub out any bubbles if you have some. The easy install align tabs are the best part, and make the install extremely easy.

The first tab is the adhesive part, so remove that and put it face-down right on your display. Align it with the tabs and let go. You’ll want to make sure there is no air conditioning or fans turned on, as the may blow dust under the screen during install. From here just remove any bubbles, take off the second protection layer, and you’re all done.

Take your time and align it right the first time (something I didn’t do) and you’ll be done in less than 2 minutes. I didn’t get it right the first time trying to bend over my camera, but a second attempt and it was perfect. The screen protector isn’t too big either, so cases won’t hit the raised glass and cause it to slowly raise and bubble.

Previous versions of the TYLT Alin came with 3-4 screen protectors, but since this is a durable tempered glass, you’ll only need one. It should stand up against scratches and drops extremely well. And if it ever gets a scratch just pull it off and your Galaxy S6 underneath is as good as new.

CM4 Q-Card Case

CM4 Q-Card Case

Odd name aside, the Q-Card case will probably be our favorite case for the Galaxy S6. I used it on my Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5, and they hold up extremely well. It isn’t a flip case like almost everything else available, which is another huge plus. We’re not fans of holding a flap open to use and enjoy our device, which makes the CM4 an attractive offer out of the gate. Secondly it’s made of a durable lightweight plastic that protects the screen and camera, but then finished off with premium leather for the wallet aspect of the case.

The CM4 case is available for pre-order and ships on April 10th, just in time for the Galaxy S6 release date. It comfortably fits three credit cards plus some cash, it protects the entire screen yet is still thin and sleek. Then, new to this year is a rather novel idea. They've added a integrated covert kickstand with two standing positions. Using a slit in the plastic housing you can use a credit card or ID as a kickstand for hands-free viewing. It's a neat idea, and we'll be sure to try it out in a full review.

It's available for $39.99 and comes in Black, Gold or Blue.
