How to Undo Thumbs Down on Pandora

Did you accidentally thumbs down a song on Pandora? Take a breath, you can undo a Pandora thumbs down easily so that you can keep hearing that song in the future.

We can’t show you how to get that track back immediately so that you can listen to your favorite, but this short guide will show you how to undo thumbs down on Pandora when you accidentally tell the service that you don’t want to listen to that song and that you don’t like it.

When you thumbs down a song on Pandora you are telling the service to skip the track now, and that you don’t like it. This will influence the songs played on your station. After you thumbs down a song it should not play on the station again. This is why you may want to undo a thumbs down. If you only want to stop hearing a song for a short time, you can click I’m tired of this track.

You don’t need Pandora One for this to work. If you want to change a thumbs down on Pandora you can do this in the app or on the web. You can undo a thumbs down on Pandora right after you tap on the thumbs down, or long after if your musical tastes change and you want to fix a station.

If you accidentally press thumbs down on a track you can quickly swipe back to that song on the web or on the app to see a thumbs down. Tap on thumbs down to undo that choice, or tap on thumbs up if you like the track. If you need to make this change on an older song you will need to go to the station options on the web or on the app.

On the Pandora app you can tap on the upper right corner on the thumbs up icon. This will show you the station details so that you can see your thumbs up and thumbs down history.

On this screen you will see a listing of thumbs down and thumbs up options at the top of the app. Tap on the thumbs down icon to see your thumbs down history for that station. You can see this in the photo above. You can tap the thumbs up option to see that history and make any corrections.

On the next screen you will see the thumbs down choices you made on a Pandora station. Tap on a title to see information about that title and an option to give it a thumbs up. If you like the track this may be your best option, but you can also just delete the Pandora thumbs down.

If you slide the title of the song right to left you will see a delete option. Tap on delete to remove the Pandora thumbs down and allow the song back on to your station.

This is the same general practice on the iPhone and on Android. If you are using the web you need to sign in to Pandora. If you just hit thumbs down you can go back over the album cover and tap on thumbs up to thumbs up or on thumbs down again to cancel the Pandora thumbs down.

If you want to see the history, click on a Station and then on Options. You will now see a list of Pandora thumbs down tracks. You can click the X next to a track to undo a Pandora thumbs down on that track. When you delete a Pandora thumbs down it will only delete it on that station, so you may need to repeat if you tapped thumbs down on the same track on a similar station.

That’s all you need to do to undo a Pandora thumbs down. You can also choose I’m tired of listening to this track to take a break without saying you don’t like this song.

    if there is an answer in this response, it is hidden inside a lot of extreme wordiness and repeated sentences. Bottom Line Up Front is the best resolution comments you can make and it appears that the answer is after you read a lot of unnecessary words.

    useless and incorrect. none of these options are available on an old, early gen iOS… of course the only reason I keep that dinosaur around is to listen to music and sometimes for Netflix, but there is absolutely NO WAY to undo an accidental “unlike” in that apps interface. Shame — ’cause I take my music listening channels seriously.

    swiping the title does nothing but take you to the next track. Only options on clicking on the station is delete, pin to start or delete. bogus info
