LG is announcing a new LG phone today that we know a lot about, but if you still want to watch the LG G3 live stream you don’t need to look far for a video. LG is streaming the event live on YouTube and is hosting multiple events across the globe which Gotta Be Mobile will be at to bring you an LG G3 hands on and a closer look at the new LG software that could come to the LG G2 soon after the event.

Although the LG G3 is not official yet, leak after leak showcased what buyers can expect from the new LG G3. This includes a design with buttons on the back like the LG G2 and a new Quad HD display that is a higher resolution than the Galaxy S5 and iPhone 5s.

The LG G3 delivers a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, but according to leaks it shouldn’t be much bigger than the Samsung Galaxy S5 that features a 5.1-inch display. A Quad HD display offers a 2560 x 1440 resolution, which is four times that of a 720P display like smartphones in 2012 offered. Most other smartphones only use a 1920 x 1080 resolution. It is clear that LG plans to make a big deal about this display and about this phone.

Leaks show the new LG G3 software that should run on top of Android 4.4.2 KitKat. This follows the trend of iOS 7 and TouchWiz on the Galaxy S5 to a flatter overall design with fewer visual flairs. The LG G3 release date will take place by the end of June according to an announcement from LG, which is as official as it gets. The LG G3 should arrive on all major carriers around the same date as LG attempts to catch up to Samsung, HTC and Apple the minds of consumers and looks to take advantage of consumer trends towards purchasing Android phones in the summer before the iPhone 6.
