HP Pavilion tx2525nt Unboxing Pictures
Today I received the HP Pavilion tx2525nt Entertainment Notebook PC. I pulled it out of the box and took some shots of the (wanting to call it Tablet PC) entertainment notebook. I’ll be posting my thoughts on the unit over the next week while I have it, so if there are any questions, please let me know! Lots of pictures after the break!!

I'm so tired of being stuck with cheap-o plastic laptops that look like they were built for little kids.

Thanks for the comments – I'll get some more information up this evening but so far it's not a bad machine. The screen looks amazing, the fan last night was running about the whole time I had it on and the touchscreen was very responsive.
@mario – I'll see what I can do with some of your tests. I have a 1920×1200 monitor and a HD TV, I'll try it on both of those and let you know what I see. I like to do 'geeky' things so I'll take a look at that Overdrive utility.

Sadly I have already given up on this device. It has very promising specs and could have been the obvious choice for a leading edge consumer, but in person the bulgy plastic and lack of stability gives off a clear message that this device is intended for "the younger set." Too bad, if HP would focus on something between the TX2 and 2730p, they could have a world beater, but instead they have one device that is too chintzy plastic, the other too overdone aluminum, each that is too glaringly class conscious while missing important features from the other.

What multi-touch things can you do on the tablet? Oh wait sorry, entertainment notebook ;).

I was hoping for a review of the new HP Touchsmart TX2, but I guess that it still is not available. However as both models share most of the same specifications (exception being the capacitive multitouch screen and LED backlight in the TX2) a more in depth review of this tablet will also be appreciated. I would like to see some focus of your review in issues related to the AMD processor, particularly heat and noise and some performance comparisons to similarly priced (preferably than similarly clock) Intel based laptops in real-life applications. The screen is pretty bad so as this is touted as a multimedia computer I would also like to know how is image quality from the VGA/S-Video ports on an external LCD (preferably a high def – I still cannot understand why HP chose and S-Video port over a DVI or DisplayPort, made even worse in the TX2 which is a new model and still doesn't have a digital video output). Battery issue is also an important point, and I have a more "geeky" request – I would like to know if it is possible to undervolt the processor using AMD's Overdrive utility (to increase battery life).
Looking forward to see your take on the machine, perhaps even an inkshow.

Wow I think Mario summarize efficiently what I'm thinking, but most important things: battery life, heat issue, quality of the screen.
