HTC One X Android 4.2 & Sense 5 Update Release Date Up in the Air
The HTC One X Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 update, which has already been pegged for arrival at some point this summer, still doesn’t have a firm release date, this according to a leakster who has been accurate with his information in the past.
In February, the HTC One arrived on the scene alongside the new HTC Sense 5, a piece of software that brought along a new look and some new features including the new HTC BlinkFeed. At the time, HTC confirmed that the software would be coming to some of its older devices naming the HTC One X, One S, One X+ and HTC Butterfly as devices that would be getting at least some of what Sense 5 has to offer.

Since then, HTC has been singing the same, vague tune leaving information to leaks. One of the biggest leaksters of information has been @LlabTooFeR who is also an HTC developer. He has been extremely accurate in the past and he has been the source of much of the information and rumors about the upcoming HTC Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 updates which he claims will be arriving in one package.
HTC has yet to confirm that but it does make sense considering none of these devices has the update yet and we’ve seen major Sense upgrades arrive with major Android updates in the past. One of the devices he has been leaking information about is the HTC One X, the elder statesman of HTC’s recent flagship devices.

@LlabTooFeR has twice pegged the HTC One X Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 roll out for this summer, specifically mentioning a June and July time frame in the past and also saying that he thinks it will be out by the end of summer.
Today, when asked about an “exact” release date for the Sense 5 update for the HTC One, he claims not to have one, which means than a release date for the HTC One X Sense 5 and and its Android 4.2 update is still up in the air. This isn’t a surprising response, despite him rolling off specific months in previous weeks.
@edward1996s Nope, I don’t know

The software is said to be in testing, with a summer time frame rumored as a slated release window. But as we know, testing can change timing if things go wrong so it’s not surprising to hear that an exact, concrete release frame for the One X’s updates aren’t set in stone. Summer, in the past, just seemed to be a guess of his, and likely an educated one.
So while the update could roll out this summer, it appears that not even the most notorious HTC leaksters know of a specific date for the roll out. And that could be because HTC itself doesn’t have one in mind. At least not yet.
