HTC One X+ With T-Mobile Branding Leaks

Published

on

We’ve heard a lot about the rumored HTC One X+, and now that rumors say the phone won’t ever reach the market we see a photo of the device.

The new photo comes from @evleaks which previously leaked press photos of the Droid RAZR HD, Droid RAZR M, Nokia Lumia 920, and Nokia Lumia 820. The photo shows the HTC One X+ with T-Mobile branding above the screen. Save for the branding the phone looks just like the HTC One X on AT&T.

The only trouble is that according to TMoNews the HTC One X+ might not ever make it to market. The site says a phone called the”HTC Era 42″ which may have been the One X+ recently disappeared from T-Mobile’s roadmap.

TMoNews‘ sources also say the HTC One X+ is “canceled, or delayed indefinitely.” We don’t know why T-Mobile and HTC canceled the phone, unless it was to make room for other HTC phones like the Windows Phone 8X which we know will come to the carrier.

The HTC One S could also be a factor in the decision. Who would want to buy the HTC One S from T-Mobile when for a bit more money they can buy the even better HTC One X+?

There’s also the possibility that it failed T-Mobile’s testing and neither company felt the need to try it again at the moment.

No matter what the reason we hope the HTC One X+ does make it to T-Mobile eventually for the sake of Android fans on the network. The only high-end Android phone on T-Mobile at the moment is the Samsung Galaxy S III, and the next phone to join it is the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
