iOS 8.3 Problems

While iOS 8.3 has been stable on our iPhones and iPads, it hasn't been that way for other iPhone and iPad users.

Apple's discussion forums continue to fill up with complaints about the iOS 8.3 update. Several iOS 8.3 users have told us that they're experiencing problems with battery drain and lag on older devices but other than those, we haven't been able to track down any widespread problems. Most of them remain isolated to a few users.

The fact that we’re still seeing complaints emerge a month after the iOS 8.3 update’s arrival isn’t surprising. iOS bugs can appear at any time. We’ve run into issues months after a release.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. You always assume some risk upgrading to a new piece of iOS software. The only thing you can really do is prepare yourself and your device. Most of you will come out unscathed.

Keep this in mind if you're still on the fence.
