It's important to know that while all iOS 9 updates will arrive at the same time, they won't be created equal. Some will be more feature-rich than others. Thanks to a series of iPhone 6s rumors, we know that Apple's new iPhones will probably come with some unique iOS 9 features that take advantage of the company's new hardware. The iPhone 6s is expected to feature the company's Force Touch technology though it will reportedly be different than the tech found on the new MacBook and Apple Watch. The iPhone 6s' version of Force Touch will apparently be called "3D Touch Display" and it should be able to distinguish between at least three types of gestures:
These will allow iPhone 6s users to take advantage of new shortcuts, pull up new controls and perhaps, clear all notifications with a simple on-screen gesture. iOS 9 applications should be able to take advantage of this new feature. Apple will also bring split-screen multitasking to the iPad Air 2 but won't bring the feature to other versions of the iPad. At least not yet. | ||||||||
