iOS 5 iPad2 AirPlay Mirroring to Apple TV Rocks

Published

on

Kevin already showed you the ins and outs of setting up your iPad2 with iOS 5 to mirror the Tablet screen to your Apple TV. Check that all out here. This however, is just an unabashed gushing post. AirPlay Mirroring from an iPad2 to an Apple TV just flat our rocks.

As Kevin shows you its a pretty painless process. That’s when the fun kicks in, especially if you want to play some games. I fired up Infinity Blade and had my wife shoot this short video. (Too bad I lost my Infinity Blade progress in the update, so I’m starting all over.) By the way, she my wife also thinks this rocks.

As you can see there is very little lag between touching the iPad2’s screen and seeing action on the TV. Of course it works well for just about anything you’re doing on your iPad2.

This is pretty awesome! That lag won’t be that disturbing.

WOW, besides the question same as Evanghelos, would it work for the iPad 1?
And this feature ” allow AirPlay to now show anything on your iPad on an Apple TV” is great!
BTW, the iOS 5 is really cool, the ability to play 1080p vids really makes me exciting! Then maybe I don’t need to do so much converting with iFunia. Maybe could make the Apple TV to be a HTV centre. That’s so great!
