Walmart isn’t able to cut the price of the new iPads to incredible levels, but there are some iPad mini 3 & iPad Air 2 deals available. The retailer also cuts the price of the original iPad mini.

These iPad mini 3 & iPad Air 2 deals aren’t huge, but if you want one today, $10 is still a nice discount you won’t find at Apple.

You can count on bigger deals and discounts during Black Friday, but that is a month away and filled with lines and craziness you won’t find now.
The other iPad mini 3 & iPad Air 2 deals that Walmart offers is a double trade-in deal on old iPads. The deal doubles the value of an old iPad up to a total of $200. This special runs from October 24th through November 16th.
- That means you’ll get double your trade-in value if your tablet is worth up to $100.
- If your tablet is worth between $100 — $199, you will receive $200.
- If your tablet is worth more than $200, you will receive the amount your tablet is valued at, but not double the trade-in.

Walmart iPad Air 2 Release Details
Important iPad Air 2 release details for Walmart.
The Walmart iPad Air 2 release kicks off with in-store iPad mini 3 and iPad Air 2 pre-orders today October 17th. Walmart will also start taking iPad Air 2 pre-orders online on Saturday October 18th.
Walmart iPad Air 2 shipments start on Friday October 24th. It’s not clear if this is the official iPad Air 2 release date, but we could see the iPad Air 2 in Apple Stores and potentially on Walmart’s shelves on this date as well.

The new iPad Air 2 features a thinner design and new display technology designed to deliver a better viewing experience. Apple also upgrades the camera to 8MP with new features like burst mode, panorama and slow motion video. The iPad Air also supports Touch ID and Apple Pay and includes a new Apple A8X processor and M8 coprocessor.
The iPad Air 2 is a big upgrade, while the iPad mini 3 is smaller.
Shoppers can find the iPad Air in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models and in WiFi or WiFi + LTE varieties. Walmart may only carry the base models. Apple also finally adds a gold iPad Air 2 color option.
The iPad mini 3 features Touch ID and is now available in gold. There are no other changes from the iPad mini 2 that Apple announced last year.
The iPad Air 2 starts at $499 at Apple ($489 at Walmart) and the iPad mini 3 starts at $399 at Apple ($389 at Walmart). Each storage upgrade is a $100 increase and adding LTE is $130 on top of the price.
